DOLTON BRUST Obituary

Dolton (Bud) F. Brust, 85, of Amherst, VA, passed away Saturday, January 22nd at Fairmont Crossing, after a brief illness. He was a longtime resident of E. Glenville, NY, prior to moving to Amherst. Mr. Brust was born May 23, 1925 in Johnstown, New York. He was the son of the late Ellen L. Brust and Floyd F. Brust. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Doris Nicoll and brother-in-law, Doug Nicoll. He is survived by one daughter, Lynn Anderson and her husband, Ed; and one son, Rex Brust and his wife, Janet. He is also survived by four grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; along with two nephews, Woody Williams and Stephen Nicoll. Mr. Brust joined the Marines at 17 and went back into the Marine Corps for the Korean Conflict. He married Noreen Zahn and had two children, Rex and Lynn. He helped his parents run Brust Log Cabins and Cider Mill and owned Brust Construction Company. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on January 29, 2011 at The White Funeral Home, 264 N. Ballston Ave. (Rt. 50), Scotia, followed by a service. Interment will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Guilderland. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
