Garry P. Agosta Town of FloridaMr. Garry P. Agosta, 55, of Bullshead Road, Town of Florida, died Sunday, Febru- ary 24, 2013 after a year long battle with can- cer. He was born August 26, 1957 in Amsterdam, NY, a son of Gabriel and Ann (Potter) Agosta. He was a grad- uate of the former Wilbur H. Lynch High School, Class of 1975. Garry was most recently em- ployed by LMS Intellibound at Golub's Warehouse in Rotter- dam, NY until the onset of ill- ness in April 2012. He had pre- viously worked at Sofco, Mohawk Finishing and the General Electric Company. He was a member of St. Casi- mir's Roman Catholic Church in Amsterdam until its closing. Mr. Agosta had a very strong and loyal work ethic, having worked since the age of 16. He rarely took his vacation time, choosing instead to work and seldom stayed at home due to illness. He was most recently prede- ceased by his uncles, Carl G. (Bunky) Agosta, Jr. and Frank (Aldo) Marcellino. Survivors besides his parents are his daughter, Jessica Agosta of Amsterdam; brother, Jeffrey Agosta and sister-in-law, Susan Gallaher Agosta of Amster- dam; his niece, Nicole Agosta; an aunt, uncles and several cousins. Relatives and friends are in- vited to call from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Febru- ary 27, 2013 at the Jendrzejczak Funeral Home, 200 Church Street, Amsterdam, NY fol- lowed by a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, 156 E. Main Street, Amsterdam with the Rev. Stanislaus Swierzow- ski, Celebrant. Private inter- ment will be at the conven- ience of the family.
