Harold W. Chrysler RotterdamHarold W. Chrysler, 86, of Rotterdam and Palm Bay, Florida, died Sunday, January 6th at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady. Born and educated in Schenectady, Harold was the son of the late Willard and Ella (Bond) Chrysler. Harold was also predeceased by his first wife of 32 years, Almeda (Peterson) Chrysler who died in 1986; a son, Gary Chrysler; and step-son, Timothy Luke. Retired in 1986 from the General Electric Company as a tool and die programmer after 42 years of service, Harold was a WWII Navy veteran and member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church . He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Joyce A. (Marks) Chrysler; children, Jeffrey Chrysler (Gail), Douglas Chrysler (Theresa), Stephen Chrysler (Beverly), Harold Chrysler Jr. (Holly) and Deborah Govel (Thomas); step-children, David Luke (Patricia), Su Luke, Donna DeMaria (Gary) and Todd Swedberg (Margie); 32 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday evening, January 9, 2013 at 5 p.m. at Good Shepard Lutheran Church, 547 Saratoga Road, Glenville, NY 12302. A visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday from 4 to 5 p.m. prior to the memorial service.
