Janet Jenson Simi Valley, CAJanet Jenson, age 55, passed away peacefully Monday, Sept. 3, 2012 at her home in Simi Valley, CA with her loving husband, children and siblings by her side, following a long and courageous battle with breast cancer. She was born on February 28, 1957 in Schenectady, NY to Edward and Isabelle Paige (Niskayuna, NY). In 2005 Janet married Jeffrey Jenson, who was the love of her life. He took wonderful care of her over the past several years as she bravely fought her illness. Together they raised her children, Michelle and Alison Cordera and his children, Candiss and Jake Jenson. Janet's family meant everything to her. She was preceded in death by her father, Edward; and her sister, Ellen Mullholland. She leaves behind her devoted husband, Jeff; her loving sister, Clare Strom (Tucson, AZ); brothers, Steven (Delanson, NY) and Robert Paige (Sharon, NY); step-sons, Keith and Kevin Cordera; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, sisters and brothers-in-law; co-workers and countless dear friends who will miss her to no end. Janet was a mom to many of her children's friends who she proudly called her kids. She graduated from Niskayuna High School, Siena College in New York and earned her master's of business administration from California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, CA. Her education served her well while employed as a production manager in the aerospace industry and most recently for a biomedical company. Janet was a devout Christian and loved our Lord with all her heart. In 2011 she visited the Vatican where she spent time in prayer with God. Janet loved beautiful flowers and over her last few days her family made sure she was surrounded by them. Donations can be made in Janet's memory to Avon Walk for Breast Cancer, Wellness Community in Westlake, CA or Siena College Foundation in Loudonville, NY.
