Laura E. Westfall GallupvilleLaura E. West- fall, 91, of Shutters Corners, Town of Wrig- ht died Sunday, February 17th at Ellis Hospital after a brief ill- ness. She was born February 2, 1922 in Schoharie, a daughter of Ste- phen and Rhoba (Bullock) Wilber and attended the Bar- ton Hill Schoolhouse and later, Schoharie High School. Mrs. Westfall married Frank C. Westfall Sr. on April 6, 1940 and together, they operated the Gallupville Corner Store. Mrs. Westfall also worked at the Old Stone Fort Museum and volun- teered at the Cobleskill Com- munity Hospital. She was a longtime member of the Evan- gelical Lutheran Church of Gallupville and served on the church council, the Gallupville Rural Cemetery board, the Town of Wright Historical So- ciety and Town of Wright Sen- ior Citizens. Laura was also a member of the Gallupville Ca- nastra Club, enjoyed Tole Painting, bottle collecting, traveling and camping. She loved her family, her church, and her wonderful neighbors. Mrs. Westfall was prede- ceased by her husband, who died on July 22, 1986; three sons, Thomas G. Westfall, Frank C. Westfall Jr., and Jo- seph C. Westfall; and an infant daughter, Bonnie; along with her siblings, Martha Ottman, Flossie Wood, Mabel Arm- strong, John Wilber, Stephen Wilber, Leroy Wilber and Ray Wilber. Survivors include six grand- children, Donna (Rick) Rudd of Blacksburg, Virginia, Daniel (Tara) Westfall of Coxsackie, Douglas Westfall of Glens Falls, Christopher Westfall of Greenland, Maine, Janet (Eric) Partridge of East Durham, and Michael (Ginger) Westfall of Davie, Florida; 14 great-grand- children, Mackenzie, Nick, Liz- zy, Jake, Tasha, Sophia, Kacie, Courtney, Cole, Katie, Emilee, Ben, Laura, and Tyler; two daughters-in-law, Linda West- fall of Cobleskill and Melanie Westfall of Amsterdam; along with several nieces and neph- ews. Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, February 20th at the Langan Funeral Home, 327 Main Street, Schoharie. A funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Thursday, February 21st at the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Gallupville, State Rte. #443. Burial will be later at the Gal- lupville Rural Cemetery.
