Lillian C. Kuehn SchenectadyLillian C. Kuehn, 86, of Schenectady died Thursday morning, October 24th at Ellis Hospital. Born in Springfield, MA, she was the daughter of the late Fran and Lillian (Rogenmoser) Craig. A graduate of Albany High School, Lillian attended both St. Rose and Siena colleges. A draftsman for New York Telephone for more than 10 years, she also had worked as a home health aide in the late 1980s. A member of St. Gabriel's Church in Rotterdam, Lillian was also a member of the 3rd Order of Secular Franciscans. Lillian embodied love of family, friends and lifelong learning. Her passions included holidays, classical music, physics, fossils and corresponding with the many friends she made throughout her life. We remember her well for her generosity, thoughtfulness, creativity, a unique sense of humor and a deep faith in God. Lillian was predeceased in 1979 by her husband, Richard J. Kuehn Jr., who she married June 20, 1953. She is survived by her children, Richard J. Kuehn (Kathryn Quoi) of Albany, Carol A. Slater (David) of Schenectady and Diane Pry (Michael) of Ravena; her brothers, Frank Craig of Colonie and Edward Craig of Clifton Park; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday morning, October 29, 2013 at 9:15 a.m. at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave., Schenectady, NY followed at 10 a.m. at St. Gabriel's Church, 3040 Hamburg St., Schenectady, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. A visitation will be held on Monday evening, October 28th from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands, NY. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Catherine's Center for Children, 40 North Main Street, Albany, NY 12203. Online condolences may be made at www.bondfuneralho me.com.
