Obituary Condolences

Lucy J. Miranda, 83, entered peacefully into the arms of the Lord on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Lucy's family located to Miami, FL, where she lived until her Senior year and graduated from Nott Terrace High School in 1953 and later from Mildred Elley Business School. She was employed as an Office Administrator for many years, finishing her career at Reliable Dishwasher & Repair in Rensselaer. With a zest for life, Lucy was active in her community; she ran for Rotterdam Town Clerk; volunteered her time with Pop Warner Football, 4H, was a vibrant participant in the Schenectady Republican Club and bowled at Towne Bowling Academy. She had quite a green thumb with flowers that adorned her yard, admired animals and wildlife. She spent countless hours feeding her feathered friends. Lucy was predeceased by the love of her life, Michael Anthony Miranda, whom she married on February 24, 1957, until his death on May 16, 2008; a daughter, Geraldine Ann Miranda and her beloved brother, Geraldo Constantino who was killed during the Korean Conflict. She is survived by her devoted children, Patrick (Deborah) Miranda; Jacqueline (Vernon) Aldershoff; all of Rotterdam; Dr. Michael (Jessica) Miranda, Jr. of West Hartford, CT and Richard (Amy) Miranda, of Westminster, MD; adoring grandchildren; Christina, Patrick Jr. (Leah), Matthew Miranda, Dmitri Aldershoff, Karissa, Paige, Sydney, Gabriel and Meagan Miranda; precious great-grandson, Dante Michael Miranda; Loving cousins, Michael Miranda (4th son), Celeste Rossetti, and Eileen Verno; as well as many other cousins, friends and neighbors.
