Mamie 'Mitzi' Brassard Whitesell RotterdamMamie 'Mitzi' Brassard Whitesell, 80, of Rotterdam, passed away Monday morning, August 6, 2012 at Ellis Hospital. Born in Blairstown, MO, Mitzi was the daughter of the late Neil and Stella (Reith) Waugh. Mitzi worked as office manager at Nemer Volkswagen for 36 years before her retirement in 2008. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and Sonrise Bible Church. Mitzi was devoted to her family. She had a passion for shopping and traveling. She especially enjoyed Hawaii and Cape Cod. Mitzi was predeceased by one brother, Robert Waugh. She is survived by her sons, Stephen G. Brassard (Nancy) and Michael W. Brassard (Karen), both of Rotterdam; her daughters, Brenda L. Matoske (Drew) of Clifton Park, and Cheri D. Lontrato (John) of Rotterdam, along with one brother, Kenneth W. Waugh of Canyon, TX. Mitzi is also survived by 10 grandchildren and eight greatgrandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews and cherished friends. The family will receive relatives and friends at Sonrise Bible Church, Dunnsville Rd. in Rotterdam on Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. with a memorial service following, continuingon to Memory Gardens for a graveside service.
