Marion Hill BroadalbinMarion Hill, 84, of Broadalbin, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 25, 2012 at Mountain Valley Hospice in Gloversville. She was born in Amsterdam on September 6, 1928, a daughter of Joseph and Veronica Kiskis and lived in Scotia for most of her life. Mrs. Hill moved to Broadalbin in 1978. She was employed at Kem Cleaners in Amsterdam for several years. Marion loved to cook and bake for her family, enjoyed watching the birds, but mostly she enjoyed getting together with family and friends. She was married to John T. Hill Jr. who died July 22, 1986. Survivors include a daughter, Pamela Penny Stutzke of Broadalbin; two sons, Arthur Janetsky and James Janetsky, both of Rotterdam; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be held on Friday from noon to 1 p.m. at the Robert M. Halgas Funeral Home, Inc., 111 County Highway 106 (Corner of Route 29 & Black Street), Johnstown. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. at Memory Gardens, Albany with Rev. Dr. R.W. Williams iciating. Memorial contributions may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice or to the Association of the Blind. Her family would like to thank St. Mary's Healthcare in Amsterdam and Mountain Valley Hospice on Gloversville for all the care given to her for the last few months.
