Norma Fay Donovan Montvale, NJNorma Fay Donovan, of Montvale, NJ, died Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at the Oakland Care Center after a long and courageous battle against cancer. Born in Scotia, NY on Oct. 6, 1929 to John and Margaret Weatherwax. Norma was an honor student through high school at Mont Pleasant. She attended the University at Albany, State University of New York, where she received both her bachelor's and master's degrees in education. Norma's love for reading took her on a career path as a librarian. Early in her career she worked for the Air Force as a civilian librarian at New Castle Air Force Base, DE in the mid 1950's. She later returned to Schenectady where she worked at Washington Irving Junior High School and Mont Pleasant High School. In the 1960's she took a position at Roaring Brook Elementary School in Chappaqua, NY, where she worked until her retirement in 1984. Norma loved going to the theater in New York and enjoyed the ocean in Maui, HI and on Long Beach Island, NJ. She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Peter; three nephews, David Weatherwax (Kate) of South Carolina, James Weatherwax (Lorene) of Virginia, Mark Weatherwax (Cathy) of New York; niece, Linda McDonough (Pete) of New York; and a dear cousin, Virginia Bennett (Richard) and their son, Richard of New York. She is also survived by numerous grandnieces and nephews. A memorial Mass will be held at St Luke's Catholic Church, 1241 State St., Schenectady, NY on June 8, 2013 at 9 a.m.
