PATRICIA REVELLA Obituary

Patricia Ann Revella was born on June 3, 1934, and passed away on December 16, 2010. It was one of those summer nights in upstate New York. It was a Thursday in August of 1952 and the department stores stayed open until 9 p.m. The entire commercial area was bustling and a great time for boy meets girl. I was standing on a corner watching all the girls go by, and there she was, blonde, blue-eyed and beautiful, smiling brightly as usual. It was Patty Revella, my lifetime love. We married June 25, 1955 and we began a 56 year journey. Pat was born in Schenectady, NY, to Peter and Frances Pugliese. Both parents and sister, Delores Eiser, have since been deceased. A tour of military duty took us to Tokyo, Japan where our first son, Robert was born in September 1956. Then moved on to Schenectady, NY, where son, Gerald was born in March 1960. We moved on and had the pleasure to live in Highstown, New Jersey, Rochester, New York, and finally Springfield, Missouri, where we decided to make our permanent home. Our son, Robert and daughter-in-law, Laura, gave us our three beautiful grandchildren, Nicole, Michael and Madalyn. Son, Gerald married Renee and gave us another wonderful daughter-in-law. We had 56 years of wonderful, loving memories. Pat cherished her friends and family who in turn cherished her. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and was cherished by them. This is a true love story. Her loving husband, Daniel Revella. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, December 20, 2010 in Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Father Fergus Monaghan and Msgr. Thomas Reidy celebrant, under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. Burial will follow in Hazelwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the church with a prayer service beginning at 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

Dear Bob, Jim and I send you and your family our heartfelt condolences. Though Patty was Jim's "older" cousin which meant they weren't in each other's circle outside the family, Jim always thought of her as a very special, loving cousin. I feel very lucky to have met Patty and gotten to know her, too. Your "letter" was a very touching and loving gift to her memory. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family as you grieve the loss of Patty.
