Robert N. Jeffes GanesvoortRobert N. Jeffes, 73, of Fortsville Rd. and former longtime resident of Clifton Park, died on Sunday, August 4, 2013 at Tufts Medical Center in Boston. He was born on July 20, 1940 in Schenectady and was the son of the late George and Evelyn Duford Jeffes. He was a graduate of Linton High School and was a Vietnam Era veteran having served in the United States Navy. Mr. Jeffes retired from the town of Clifton Park where he had been a foreman in the Highway Department for many years. Mr. Jeffes was a member of the Clifton Park BPOE Lodge of Elks # 2466, the American Legion Mohawk Post 1450 in Halfmoon and the Clifton Park Rod and Gun Club. He was the beloved husband of Barbara Sainsbury Jeffes who he married on Dec. 2, 1961. He is the devoted father of Cathy (Keith) Prevost of Saratoga, Lori (Chris) Decker of Lake Mary, FL, and Tammy (Ed) Vanier of Halfmoon; brother of Lynne Jeffes of Idaho; also survived by eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral will be held Friday at 12 noon from the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Route 9, Clifton Park. Calling hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Interment will be in the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville with full military honors. Memorial contributions may be made to the , 440 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205. Arrangements have been entrusted by the family to the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Route 9, Clifton Park, New York 12065.
