Dr. William H. Brown Sr. Phoenix, MDOn November 11, 2012, Dr. William H. Brown Sr., of Phoenix, Maryland, and formerly of Schenectady, a US Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict, passed away. Beloved husband of Marlene Brown; loving father of Jeffrey Brown, M.D., Linda Brown, Kurt Brown, M.D., William Brown Jr., Lisa Burtz, Gregg O'Rourke, Kara Brown-Perrett, and Erin Brown; loving grandfather of three granddaughters, seven grandsons and one great-grandson; dear brother of the late Sally Brown Owens. Dr. Brown practiced obstetrics and gynecology in the Schenectady area from 1955 to 1983 in both private practice and also as the chairman of the Obstetrics & Gynecological Departments at Ellis Hospital from 1969 to 1983. Family and friends will honor Bill's life at the family owned Evans Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services Monkton, 16924 York Road, Monkton, MD 21111 from 2:30 to 4 p.m. Saturday at which time a memorial service will be held.
