Wilma Sherry Corcoran NiskayunaWilma Sherry Corcoran, 87, of Clifton Park Road died Saturday, November 16, 2013, at the Teresian House in Albany, surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Corcoran was born in Shamokin, PA to the late William and Eleanor McKneown Sherry, moving to Niskayuna in 1965. Mrs. Corcoran was a graduate of Spencer Institute and worked at Sunnyview Hospital for several years, retiring in 1985 as a supervisor. She was a communicant and former trustee of St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church in Niskayuna and served on numerous committees at the church. Mrs. Corcoran was predeceased by her husband, James F. Corcoran, who died in 2011; a daughter, Kathleen A. Macy; and three siblings, Robert Sherry, Margaret Westervelt and James Sherry. She is survived by three children, Eileen T. VonHolle of Fort Myers, FL, Thomas J. Corcoran of Niskayuna and John P. Corcoran of Syracuse; two siblings, William M. Sherry and Patricia S. Zarch, both of Schenectady. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral which will begin Wednesday morning at 8:15 at the Gleason Funeral Home and at 9 at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church, 1803 Union Street, where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna. Memorial contributions may be made to the
