Jean G. Myers GlenvilleJean G. Myers, 84, of Saratoga Road, died on Monday, February 10, 2014, at the Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, NY. She was born on December 28, 1929 in Scotia, NY and was the daughter of the late Henry J. and Naomi A. (Cook) Jette. Mrs. Myers had lived in Glenville all of her life. She was a graduate of Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School, class of 1947. For over 60 years she was employed at General Electric as a legal secretary, much of this time working in the Patent Attorney's office at G.E. Research and Development in Niskayuna, NY. She retired at the age of 80 years old. Earlier, she had worked at Schenectady County Surrogate Court and Henry's Cleaners in Schenectady, NY. Arts and crafts were one of her favorite pastimes along with the many truck camper trips that she and her husband took to the Adirondack Mountains. She was the beloved wife of the late Marvin Myers; caring sister of Norman H. (the late Alma) Jette of Glenville, NY, the late Peggy J. Jette and Donna (Bob) Barringer of Schenectady; aunt of Kathleen Sisler of Ballston Spa, NY, Suzanne (Paul) Baumgarten of Ballston Lake, NY and Jeanne Gordon of Glens Falls, NY. She also leaves behind several other nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held in the spring of 2014 in the Sweetman Cemetery in Charlton, NY where she will rest next to her husband.
