Richard A. 'Dick' Staffield QueensburyRichard A. Dick Staffield, 90, of The Glen at Hiland Meadows, died on Saturday, March 22, 2014. Born in Lancaster, NY, he was the son of the late Cora M. Staffield. He was a graduate of Orchard Park High School and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II having served in Normandy. He was bestowed the World War II Victory, Good Conduct, EAME Service medals as well as the Distinguished Unit Badge. Dick was formerly of Mechanicville and Ft. Lauderdale, FL. He was the original founder and owner of THE PENNYSAVER and Staffield Printing in Mechanicville. Beloved husband of Jeanne A. Keyser Staffield of Queensbury; devoted father of Sara (John) Hogan of Saratoga Springs, James (Nancy) Staffield of Greenfield Center, Penny (Dan) Davies of Salt Lake City, UT and Alison (Ted) Luciano of Halfmoon; grandfather of Heather McVay, Erin Rauseo, Jonathan Hogan, Lauren Lavigne, Mara and Jillian Staffield, Adam Luciano, Kristen Bentley, Carly and Corinne Davies; also survived by nine great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother, Robert Staffield. A private visitation and funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family from the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Rt-9 in Clifton Park followed by a private inurnment with military honors in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville. Memorial contributions may be made to the John H. Ahearn, Jr. Rescue Squad, 58 North Central Ave, Mechanicville, NY 12118 in memory of Richard A. Dick Staffield. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted by the family to the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Route 9, Clifton Park, New York 12065.
