Stephen E. LaBadia Central Bridge Stephen E. LaBadia, 51, of North Main St., Central Bridge, died Sunday, April 13th at his home after a long illness. He was lovingly cared for and supported by his family and remained in his home until passing. Stephen was born May 26, 1962 in Cobleskill, a son of Edward and Shirley (Edwards) LaBadia and graduated from Schoharie High School in 1980. He later served his country in the US Navy as a MP aboard the USS Nimitz based in Norfolk, VA and spent several cruises in the Mediterranean. Steve returned from the service and began his career with the NYS Thruway Authority as a toll collector, most recently at Exit 25. He enjoyed fantasy baseball, football, soccer, NASCAR, camping and traveling and spending time at many ocean beaches. Survivors include his wife, Kimberley A. (Hopkins) LaBadia, whom he married September 4, 1993; a daughter, Heidi A. Loetterle of Rotterdam; his father, Edward LaBadia Sr. of Central Bridge; a brother, Edward (Denise) LaBadia of Central Bridge; a sister, Sue LaBadia (Greg Hotaling) of Central Bridge; and four nephews, Zachary, Anthony, Dylan and Cody. He was predeceased by his mother, Shirley in 2009. A visitation period will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, April 18th at the Langan Funeral Home, 195 N. Main St., Central Bridge. Burial will be private.
