Robert P. Russo Fort Edward Robert P. Russo, 83, passed away Friday, April 25, 2014, surrounded by his family. Born in Rotterdam, NY on June 18, 1930, he was the son of the late Anthony and Felicia Russo. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. Bob was an accomplished salesman, retiring from ADT Security. He enjoyed cooking and boating. He was a member of American Legion Post 1133 in Fort Edward. He was predeceased by his sister, Virginia Lamalfa; and brother, Frank Russo. Bob is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen Ward Russo; his children, Robert Russo of Framingham, Massachusetts, Valarie Degni of Ballston Lake, Regina Cerqua (William) of Ballston Spa and Philip Russo of Clifton Park; grandchildren, Michael Cerqua, Robert Russo, Ashley Russo, Nicholas Degni, Vincent Degni and Anthony Russo; great-grandchildren, Connor and Nicholas; sister, Josephine Fazzone of Rotterdam; brother, Americo Russo of St. Petersburg, Florida; and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, April 29 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Armer Funeral Home, Inc., 39 East High Street, Ballston Spa. A memorial service will follow at 11:30 a.m. Burial with military honors will be in the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Duell Road, Town of Saratoga. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Renal Dialysis Center, 3 Broad Street Plaza, Glens Falls, NY 12801. The family would like to thank Dr. Joseph Mihandu, Dr. Surendra Nevatia, Dr. Philip Gara, the nursing staff at Glens Falls Hospital and the nursing staff at Renal Dialysis Center for their care and compassion during Bob's illness.
