John M. Chojecki Ballston Spa John M. Chojecki, 70, passed away Thursday, May 15, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family. Born August 9, 1943 in Schenectady, he was the son of the late Bogus and Mary (Renaud) Chojecki. John resided in Schenectady until he moved to Ballston Spa in 1974. He worked as a gas turbine generator builder at General Electric Co. in Schenectady for 32 years, retiring in 1995. John enjoyed camping and loved being on Sacandaga Lake in his boat, Papa's Princess, which is named after his only granddaughter. His two Chihuahuas, Sir Mickey Mouse and Little Eddie, could often be found keeping him company. John met the love of his life, Patricia Jackson, at age 16, and they have been partners in crime ever since, enjoying 49 years of marriage. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Judy Girvin. John is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia Chojecki; his four daughters, Michelle Chojecki (Jill Cowburn) of Saratoga Springs, Pamela Baumgardner of Florida, Karan Allrich (Greg) of Ballston Spa and Dana Chojecki (Peter Palmieri) of Saratoga Springs; his grandchildren, John and Cory Baumgardner, Olivia and Avery Allrich, Jayden and Jaxsyn Chojecki; a great-grandchild, Brayden Baumgardner; and a sister, Karen Stowell. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m., Monday, May 19, 2014 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Milton Avenue, Ballston Spa, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Armer Funeral Home, Inc., 39 East High Street, Ballston Spa.
