Kenneth G. Alberts SchenectadyKenneth G. Alberts, 75, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 22, at St. Peter's Hospital after a brief illness. Born December 8, 1938 in Albany, NY, he was the son of the late George B. and Dorothy E. Alberts. Ken worked for Argus Litho in Albany for over 30 years before retiring in 1997. As a young man, Ken enjoyed vacationing in the Adirondack Mountains. He passed that love onto his family, where they spent time every summer boating, fishing, swimming and just enjoying time together on Lake Champlain. He also loved to garden and took pride in taking care of his home and many perennial and vegetable gardens. Ken was predeceased by his loving wife of 38 years, Judith A. (Degnan) Alberts; his sister, Barbara Romani and his faithful dogs, Mugsy and Murphy. He will be dearly missed by his four children, Michael Alberts of Copperas Cove, TX, Renee (Mark) Hinckley of Franklin, MA, Tracey (Serg) Shevtchuk of Loudonville and William (Tina) Alberts of Saratoga Springs; his grandchildren, Max, Madison, Jack and Sam and by his dear friend and companion, Patricia Ginac. Calling hours will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at Teresian House, 200 Washington Ave. Ext, Albany, NY 12203 and a Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 11 a.m. at Teresian House.
