David R. Zeglen MechanicvilleDavid R. Zeglen, 81, former resident of Pruyn Hill Road, died Monday morning, July 7th, at Kingsway Arms, Schenectady, after a brief illness. Born in Schenectady, February 27, 1933, son of the late Rudolph and Clara Jaracz Zeglen, David was a graduate of Draper High, attended Siena College, and after the Korean War, attended Syracuse University. During the Korean War, Dave served with the U S Air Force, and retired as Chief Master Sergeant, in charge of personnel with the US Air National Guard, Stratton Air Base, after 35 years of service. After retirement, David and his wife wintered many years at Ponce Inlet, Florida. They were members of Mechanicville United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Sylvia Russell Zeglen; along with nieces, nephews and their families. A funeral service will be held Friday, July 11th at noon at Mechanicville United Methodist Church, No. Main St., Mechanicville. Burial with military honors at Hudson View Cemetery, Mechanicville.There will be no calling hours.
