Paul K. Knight HalfmoonPaul K. Knight, 73, of Martindale, CT, beloved husband of over 27 years of Sharon Ray Knight of Halfmoon, peacefully entered into eternal life on Wednesday, July 9, 2014. Born in Watervliet, he was the son of the late George Kirkwood Knight and Ruth Patterson Knight. He was educated in the Shenendehowa Central School District. Paul served in the New York State Army National Guard for many years. Paul retired in 1999 from the Northway Auto Exchange in Halfmoon where he had been a mechanic and had previously been employed at C.L. Martin Texaco in Clifton Park. He was of the Methodist faith. Paul enjoyed small motor repair, fishing, motorcycling and was an avid NASCAR fan. The highlight of his life, spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. Beloved husband of Sharon, devoted father of Paula (Mike) Foti of Galway, Todd Knight of Ballston Spa, Venice (Todd) Kennedy of Clifton Park, John (Jennifer) Knight of Burnt Hills, Becky (Jim) Pettit of Galway and Lisa (Chris) Fitch of Burnt Hills, brother of the late Nancy Lee, cherished Poppy of Nicolina, Kyle, Hannah, Myles, Matthew, Camden, Avery, Gavin, Justin, Adam, Brandon and the late J.J. Knight, also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was the former husband of the late Jane Luse Knight, who died on June 26, 2009. Funeral will be held on Saturday morning at 10 a.m. at the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Rt. 9 in Clifton Park. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Interment will be held with military honors in Memory Gardens, Colonie. Those desiring, may make memorial contributions to NENY Chapter, 1717 Central Ave., Albany, NY 12205, in memory of Paul K. Knight. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted by the family to the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Route 9, Clifton Park, New York 12065.
