Anthony D. Barbarulo SchenectadyAnthony D. Barbarulo, 90, of Schenectady, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at the Baptist Health Nursing & Rehab Center in Scotia. Born in Schenectady on De-cember 19, 1922, he was the son of the late Nunzio and Carmella (Rocco) Barbarulo. Anthony proudly served with the U.S. Army during World War II, spending time in both Italy and Egypt. After the war, Mr. Barbarulo went to work as a track man with the D & H Railroad Company for many years, retiring in 1982. Anthony was a member of The American Legion in Schenectady. He enjoyed bowling, gardening, and the outdoors. Most of all, Anthony enjoyed spending time with his beloved family and friends. Mr. Barbarulo was predeceased by his first wife, Katherine (Saglimbeni) Barbarulo. He was also predeceased by three brothers, Charles, Frank and Emery Barbarulo. Survivors include his beloved wife, Dorothy (Caputo) Barbarulo; his son, Paul Barbarulo of Scotia; his daughter, Nancy Barbarulo of Scotia; his brother, Jim Barbarulo of Rotterdam; two grandchildren, Carrie Anne McGinness and Kim Marie Buchanan; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to Baptist Health Nursing & Rehab Center, 297 North Ballston Avenue, Scotia, NY 12302.
