Tadeus Czapski Ballston LakeTadeus (Ted) Czapski, 92, died Satur- day evening, February 9th at Baptist Health Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born in New- ark, NJ, Ted was the son of the late Stanilus and Helen (Flachinowski) Czapski. An engineer, he re- ceived his bachelor's degree in engineering from Pratt Insti- tute in Brooklyn and worked for the General Electric Com- pany for over 40 years before his retirement as manager of purchasing in 1982. A member of the GE Quarter Century Club and the YMPA, Ted was also a graduate of the GE Ap- prenticeship Program and served with the Army in WWII. He received the Bronze Star during the Battle of the Bulge. Ted is survived by his wife of 66 years, Phyllis Marra Czap- ski, who he married July 28, 1946; his children, Karen E. Or- lop (Frank) of Ballston Lake, Glen T. Czapski (Chris) of Phoenix, AZ and Gary Czapski of Ballston Lake; and a grand- daughter, Kara Czapski Orlop. A committal shelter service with military honors will be held on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at Saratoga National Cemetery at 11 a.m. Online condolences at www.bondfuneralhome.com
