Charles A. Mango ScotiaCharles A. Mango, age 91, a WWII, Marine Corps veteran, entered into eternal life Friday, July 5, 2013. Born in Susquehanna, PA, he was the son of the late Pasquale and Rosa Cuozzo Mango. Charles was a 1940 graduate of Nott Terrace High School. Charles fought in the battles of Peleliu and Iwo Jima during his service in the Marine Corps. He was employed by Clifford R. Gray, Inc. as an electrician and then he was the Apprenticeship Program Director with the IBEW (for which he was a 65-year member) until his retirement in 1985. Charles was a voracious reader, an avid attendee at the Saratoga Race Track and was always available to friends with minor electrical home improvement needs. He was often called on for electrical projects for the Scotia Little League, his children's schools and at St. Joseph's Church where he was a parishioner. Beloved husband of the late Justina A. Marino Mango; loving father of Charles J. Mango (Rachel), James Mango and Judith Mango; brother of the late Frank Mango, the late Jack Mango and infant brother the late Anthony Mango; cherished grandfather of Justina M. Mango and James B. Mango. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 a.m., Monday, July 8, 2013 at St. Joseph's Church, 231 Second St. Scotia. The family will receive visitors at The White Funeral Home, 264 N.
