Kevin M. Mondoux StillwaterKevin M. Mondoux, 25, grandson of Marvin and Joyce Mondoux of Stillwater, died tragically Sunday, Oct. 20th in Georgia, while riding a new bicycle along a highway, was struck by an alleged drunk driver. Born in Missouri, July 7, 1988, he was the son of Michael Mondoux and Shelbie Witte of Thomasville, GA and Kimberley and Eric Schroeder of Hinesville, GA. Kevin joined the US Army immediately following high school graduation, and served seven years, including a year in Korea and a year in Iraq. He was discharged in May of this year. Kevin earned numerous medals, including the Army Commendation Medal, the Korean Defense Service Medal and Iraq Campaign Medal with two battle stars. An extremely caring man, Kevin loved spending time with his family, taking care of animals, and enjoyed reading. Survivors in addition to his parents and grandparents include his two sisters, Clarisse and Kaitlin Mondoux, both of Georgia; his aunt, Vicki and Kevin Schuette of Ballston Spa, their kids, Ryan, Kelsey and Zachary; stepfamily members, aunts, uncles and cousins. Kevin was predeceased by his uncle, Mark Mondoux A burial service with military honors will be held Thursday, Oct. 31st at noon at the Saratoga National Cemetery, Duell Rd., Schuylerville. There will be no public calling hours.
