George A. Splain III

George A. Splain, III, age 85, passed away on Thursday, February 25th at his home after a brief illness surrounded by his loving family – his wife, Dorothy, his son, Stephen, his daughters, Teresa, Patricia and Donna, his grandsons, Michael and Liam and his brother-in-law, Robert Curry. Born in East Orange, New Jersey, George was the son of "Midge" and George Splain, Jr., lately of Ballston Lake. He was a Sergeant in the National Guard for seven years. He also served as a volunteer Fireman for 35 years in Garwood, NJ. He was employed for 25 years as a shop foreman for Shallcross Bolt & Specialty Company in Linden, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at 11 a.m. Our Lady of Grace Church, 73 Midline Road, Ballston Lake, NY. Relatives and friends are invited to gather one hour prior to mass (10 a.m. to 11 a.m.) to express condolences to the family in the church's gathering area. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to your favorite charity.
