Philip Meier Obituary

Philip Arthur Meier, of Clifton Park, NY, passed away on October 7, 2018 at the age of 72.? Phil attended Mont Pleasant High School in Schenectady, NY and graduated from Clarkson University. He worked as a hydro engineer for GE, Hudson River Regulatory District, and Voith for over 25 years. His projects included trips to various power plants throughout the United States and internationally to Egypt, Argentina, Taiwan, Mexico, Europe, and Canada.? Besides his parents, Otto and Jane, Phil was predeceased by his brother, Glenn. He is survived by his sisters, Linda, Jeanne (Ray) Zanta, and Mary (Gary) Wiley. He will be remembered by his wife of 42 years Margery and his two sons, Andrew (Robin) and Paul (Kelly); as well as his granddaughters, Riley and Hadley.? Phil enjoyed golf, skiing, and watching the Red Sox.? The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday from 1 until 2 p.m. at the Griswold Funeral Home, 1867 State St., Schenectady, followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
