Clifford G. Able Sr. formerly of Addison Clifford G. Able Sr., of Elgin, born Oct. 13, 1930, passed away Monday, March 21, 2011. Mr. Able was a Korean War Navy veteran. Clifford was the beloved husband of 56 years to Joan (nee Swibas); loving father of Clifford Jr., Patrick (JoAnn), Kathleen (Mike) Penckofer, Christopher, Susan (William) Barry, Ted (Micki) and Tina (Jim) Mix; cherished grandfather of Jesse (Rachael), Hannah, Jason, Michael, Zackary, Harmony, Hilary, Lindsey, Patrick, Jimmy, Jack and Abby; proud great-grandfather of Anthony; dear brother of Harry (Jan); and uncle to many loving nieces and nephews. Memorial visitation will take place Sunday, March 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with military and memorial services at 12 noon, at the Countryside Funeral Home & Crematory, 950 South Bartlett Road (at Stearns Road), Bartlett. Cremation was private at the Countryside Crematory.
