Lucille K. Turngren a resident of Wheaton for22 years Lucille K. Turngren, 89, died Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, peacefully at home. She was born Nov. 23, 1922, in Chicago, to George and Nettie Riedel. Lucille graduated in 1941 from Parker High School in Chicago. While raising her family, she worked for many years as a statistical clerk for numerous companies including, Linkbelt, Armor and Warshawski Auto Parts. In 1989, she retired and moved to Winfield. She loved to travel, create beautiful needlepoint artwork, was an avid reader, and enjoyed solving puzzles and playing table games with family. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Bible Study as well as the Glen Ellyn TOPS group. She is survived by three children, Kathryn (Thomas) Schaefer of Winfield, Tim (Ann) Kelly of Bloomington, MN and Jeffrey (Lori) Turngren of Peotone, IL; five grandsons, Thomas, Andrew, Jason, Jeffrey and Marc; two great-grandchildren, Zack and Avery; and her sister, Florence Ladner of Columbus, MS. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 21, from 12 noon to 1:30 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton, where a memorial service will follow at 1:30 p.m. Memorial gifts may be directed to Special Olympics. Family and friends may sign a guest book at hultgrenfh.com. Lucille livened up our Friday Bible Study. She had many questions that we all ponder though her faith was strong.
Always grateful for another day and for her family. She will be missed & remembered in prayer.

I will never forget the time Lucille insisted on trying on my rollerblades, despite my urging her not to. She did a great job doing skating around, and smiled all day long afterwards.
We will miss Lucille and I will think of her every so often.
