Carol M. Boettger, age 75, passed away on Wednesday evening at the JourneyCare Hospice in Barrington surrounded by family. Carol was born in Chicago on April 28, 1938, the daughter of the late Otto & Marie (nee Rawlings) Anderson. Carol was a resident of the Dundee- Carpentersville area for the past 53 years. She was a member of the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in East Dundee and a longtime member and former President of the Carpentersville VFW 5915 Ladies Auxiliary. Survivors include her sons: Mark (Diana) and Wayne (Kristine) Boettger. Other survivors include her grandchildren: Erika (Joshua) Kwasny, Mark,Jr., Emily and Paige Boettger. Carol was also looking to the birth of Erika & Josh's baby early next year. In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her sister: Alice Gibbs. Memorial Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Noon at the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 310 E. Main St. in East Dundee. The Rev. William P. Yonker, Senior Pastor will officiate. Carol's family will be receiving friends at church from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. There will also be a VFW Ladies Auxiliary Service at 11:30 A.M.
