PALATINE - Nora M. Amato, 86, entered the presence of the Lord peacefully on December 13, 2014. Beloved wife of the late John, loving mother of Andrea (Ed) Jacob and John Amato, grandmother of Rachel (Kyle) Washburn, Nicholas Jacob, Andrea M. Jacob and John Amato III, devoted sister to Peggy (Clyde) McGuire and Chuck (Donna) Lentz, aunt to many nieces and nephews. A memorial service to celebrate and honor her life will be held at First United Methodist Church of Arlington Heights, 1903 E. Euclid, Arlington Heights, on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at 10:00 a.m.

DUNDEE - Arlene C. Ahlman, age 81, passed away on Saturday morning, December 6, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Arlene was born in Chicago on Nov. 22, 1933 and was the daughter of the late Anthony and Anna (Lullo) Grippando. On February 19, 1955 she married Ronald A. Ahlman. Arlene was a resident of the Dundee area for the past 42 years. Besides working as an Administrative Assistant, employed by both the Palatine School District #15 and the Cardunal Area Chamber of Commerce, Arlene enjoyed cooking, reading, traveling and making friends. She was loving and generous, demonstrating the virtue of embracing all people. She was a longtime active member of the First Presbyterian Church in Elgin and a member of the Presbyterian Women's Association. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Ronald; their children: Dawn (Keith) Brill, Christine (Bob) Rosenberg, Valerie (Bob) Dunham and Scott (Angelica) Ahlman. Arlene is also survived by her 15 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Arlene was preceded in death by her sister Carol Ann Kahn. Both Memorial Visitation and Memorial Funeral Service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, 240 Standish St., Elgin. Memorial Visitation: Friday, Dec. 19th from 4-8 P.M. and Memorial Funeral Service: Saturday, Dec. 20th at 3:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either The Kairos Family Counseling Center, 240 Standish St., Elgin, IL 60123, or the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation at the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation National Processing Center, Attn: Honor and Memorial Gifts, P.O. STREAMWOOD - Jonathan Morris Anderson, 2 months old, died Dec. 6, 2014. Born Sept. 24, 2014. He was the son of Kenneth and Jennifer (nee Schreiner) Anderson; brother of Alexis and Jaxson Anderson; grandson of John and Barbara Schreiner, Kenneth Sr. (Tina) Anderson and Sherrie (Michael) Owerko; great-grandson of Marilyn Setnan. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation Wednesday, 4 to 8 p.m. at Meadows Funeral Home, 3615 Kirchoff Road (½ block east of Route 53), Rolling Meadows. In state Thursday, 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. at Meadows Christian Fellowship Church, 2401 Kirchoff Road, Rolling Meadows. Interment Memory Gardens Cemetery, Arlington Heights. GURNEE - Roslyn Anderson nee Vogt born in Volo IL September 2, 1920, a long time resident of Gurnee passed away on December 8, 2014 at the age of 94. Roslyn was employed by Warren Township and enjoyed needle crafting, playing bridge at Gurnee Senior Center, bird watching, gardening, cookies, sitting in front of the Christmas tree and spending time with her family. She was married for 52 years to Robert E Anderson and the loving mother to Chrystal (Art) Ruszenas, Karen (Jack) Ready and Pamela (Stuart) Buffington. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert and daughter Chrystal. She is survived by 6 grandchildren Lauren (Ross) Rhone, Dana (Dan) Sullivan Michigan, Jeff (Ashley) and Eric (Chelsea) Buffington of New Mexico, Robert Ruszenas and Rebecca (John) Conway of New Hampshire and 6 great grandchildren Hollister, Sarah, Drew, Meghan, Max and Theodore, who gave her much pleasure and made her smile. We would like to give special thanks to her loving caregivers Roma Geidukyte, Nemka Nergui, and Ewa Kozlowska. Interment will be private at Highland Memorial Park in Libertyville.
