LANCASTER, HERBERT OWEN - Belleville, Wi  
Herbert Owen Lancaster, age 89, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2015 at Hometown Assisted Living in Belleville, WI. Herbert was born on May 31, 1925 in Hinckley, IL; the son of Owen and Hilda Lancaster. Herbert is survived by a son, Herbert, Jr. and a daughter, Debra; two grandchildren, Samantha and Matthew. He is also survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Norma and Edward Klein; two sisters-in-law, Adeline Ward and Margaret Slimko and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rose and a sister, Marguerite. Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, 22, 2015 at River Hills Memorial Park, Batavia, IL. LANCKHOFF, DAVID U. - LAKE IN THE HILLS  
LAKE IN THE HILLS - Visitation for David U. Lanckhoff, 40, will be Wednesday, May 27, 2015 from 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM with a funeral service at 7:00 PM at Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine. Interment will be private at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Arlington Heights. Dave was born December 6, 1974 in Elk Grove Village to David and Rita (nee Osting) Lanckhoff. He passed away Thursday, May 21, 2015 in Woodstock. Dave's laughter and presence filled the room. His guiding light and love for his family will be missed. He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary, whom he married November 8, 2002 in addition; his loving children David and Nathan; dear mother, Rita; fond siblings, Tina Petersen, Betti Petersen, Norman (Joy) Eichmann, Rebecca Lanckhoff; nieces and nephews, Savannah, Nicholas, Sarah, Megan, Lauryn, and Kate. LICHTHARDT, EUGENE W. - ELGIN  
ELGIN - Eugene W. Lichthardt, 83, of Elgin passed away on May 9, 2015 at Presence St. Joseph Hospital. He was born on October 14, 1931 in Roselle, IL the son of Herman and Edna (Krunfus) Lichthardt. Eugene had worked for 40 years at Commonwealth Edison prior to retirement. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Roselle, IL. Survivors include his Wife: Lilah, whom he married on October 2, 1953; 2 children: Juanita (Paul McDaniel) Lichthardt and Larry (Amy) Lichthardt; and 3 grandchildren: Gavin, Erica and Natalie. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held on Saturday May 23, 2015 at 12:00 Noon at the Laird Funeral Home, Elgin with the Rev. Warman officiating. Burial will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice. LINDAHL, SUSAN M. - SUGAR GROVE  
SUGAR GROVE - Susan Lindahl, 71, passed away Wednesday, May 20th, surrounded by family after a 5 month battle with lung cancer. She was born February 1, 1944 in Elmhurst, IL into the loving and large family of Harry and Jean Haselhorst. She was the second oldest of 8 children and helped raise her younger siblings. Susan graduated from York High School and then The University of Illinois in Urbana Champaign where she was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority. She went on to become an Occupational Therapist and taught Occupational Therapy for a short time at the University of Illinois in Chicago. She then went on to become a stay-at-home wife and loving mother to her two sons where she was actively involved in their school and after-school activities. Susan is survived by her mother Jean Haselhorst of Poplar Grove, IL (formerly of Elmhurst and Sugar Grove); her husband of nearly 50 years, Dr. Kenneth C. Lindahl of Sugar Grove, IL; sons Dr. Jeremy (Marci) Lindahl of Richmond, IN and Dr. Matthew (Kristina) Lindahl of Glen Ellyn, IL; "adoptive" son Michael (Allison) Genslinger of Waterman, IL; grandchildren Marie, Cayden, Jacob, Connor, and Rebecca Lindahl and Sam and Jon Genslinger; brothers Ward (Judy) Haselhorst of Poplar Grove, IL, Keith (Beverly) Haselhorst of Narvon, PA, Peter (Beverly) Haselhorst of Freeport, IL, Scott (Nina) Haselhorst of Fox River Grove, IL, Gary (Dorie) Haselhorst of Villa Park, IL and Kent Haselhorst of Villa Park, IL; sister Beth (Morgan) Dargan of Crystal Lake, IL; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Harry Haselhorst. Visitation will be Friday, May 29, 2015 from 4-8 P.M. at The Healy Chapel, 332 W. Downer Place, Aurora. A memorial service will take place on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 11 A.M. at New England Congregational Church, 406 W. Galena Blvd., Aurora. LUSE, SHARON L. - GLEN ELLYN  
GLEN ELLYN - Sharon L. Luse (nee Goss), age 77, a resident of Glen Ellyn, since 1969, went to be with the Lord on May 2, 2015, peacefully at home. She was born on September 5, 1937, in Indianapolis to Dewey and Lucille Sisk. Sharon grew up in Indianapolis and then graduated high school in Oak Park. She attended Monticello College in Alton, Illinois. She met the love of her life, Dee Luse in 1954 in Oak Park. They were married on May 4, 1957 in Indianapolis. They lived in Oak Park, Elmwood Park, Lombard and Glen Ellyn. In recent years, they have wintered in Scottsdale, Arizona. She was a member of Glen Ellyn Garden Club, Glen Ellyn P.E.O., Glen Oak Country Club and the Morton Arboretum. She loved her church homes (Community Fellowship in West Chicago and Highlands Church in Scottsdale), Bible Study Fellowship, golf, oil and watercolor painting, needle-pointing, knitting, building bird houses and other crafting. She also loved cross-country skiing and snowmobiling. She is survived by her husband, Dee Luse, three sons, Steve (Elaine) Luse of Wheaton, Brad (Ingrid) Luse of Elburn, IL, and Devin (Karen) Luse of El Paso, Texas, nine grandchildren, Ashley, Dylan, Hillary, Dustin, Christian, Hannah, Sydney, Harley, and Thaya. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 29, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at Community Fellowship Church, 28W240 North Ave., West Chicago, IL 60185. The family will be available to receive guests at 2:00 p.m. until the start of the service. Interment will be private.
