Jean Savoie, 88, died Friday, April 18, surrounded by her loving family. She enjoyed 49 years of marriage to the late Vincent. She is survived by her 4 children, Bill (Joanne) of Grant, Alabama, Dr. Cynthia Savoie of Vancouver, Washington, Joanne Isadore (Dr. Ernest) of St. Charles, Illinois, and Diane Fourdyce (Dr. Anthony) of Edwardsville, Illinois; Ten grandchildren - Shannon Savoie (Amy), Heather, David (Terri) and Rodrick Foran, Jason (Amy), Angela, and Dr. Adam Isadore, Dr. Lana Fourdyce Kevitsis (Steve) and Kelsey Fourdyce; Eight great-grandchildren - Keegan and Finley Savoie, Carmen, Bethany, and Alivia Foran, Rodrick II and Holly Foran, and Alice Isadore; One great-great-grandchild Kaden Foran. She will be dearly missed by all. Jean was a homemaker and took great pride in raising her 4 children and creating a loving household. She had a passion for reading, was a world traveler, and enjoyed all crafts. Jean was a true people person, blessed with the gift of gab, and was loved by everyone around her. She worked 12 years in speech therapy at the DuPage Rehabilitation Center and also volunteered to teach English as a second language. She was a member of the St. Charles Episcopal Church and took pleasure in her Alter Guild and soup kitchen duties. Jean lived in St. Charles before moving to The Holmstad in Batavia, IL, where she enjoyed having met so many wonderful and loving friends. Friends and family will gather for visitation Monday, April 21st from 4-8pm at Yurs Funeral Home, 1771 W. State St. (Route 38), Geneva, IL. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, April 22nd at 10:30am followed by graveside burial at Union Cemetery, St. Charles. Luncheon to follow. WHEATON - Oscar Albert "Al" Scheffler, age 84, a 58-year resident of Wheaton, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family, on Monday, April 14, 2014. Mr. Scheffler was born in Chicago and graduated from Brocton High School in Brocton, NY, and from the University at Buffalo with a bachelor degree in mechanical engineering. He served in the US Marine Corps and worked as a mechanical engineer at Caterpillar, Inc. for 34 years. He was a long-time parishioner of St. Michael Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was the beloved husband of the late Josephine; loving father of Al (Piyavadee) of Melbourne, Florida and Michael (Joan) of Arlington Heights, IL; devoted grandfather of Daniel Scheffler, Premchai Poosri, Jennifer (Dan) Wacker, and Utumporn Poosri; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews; and a good friend and companion of Mary Hill. He was preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth Scheffler. Visitation will be on Monday from 3 to 8 p.m.at Williams-Kampp Funeral Home, 430 E. Roosevelt Road (one block east of Naperville Road), Wheaton. Funeral prayers will be said at the funeral home Tuesday at 9:15 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass at St. Michael Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at St. Michael Cemetery. DEER PARK - The funeral service for Paul John Schlueter, 54, will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, April 17, 2014, at Lutheran Church of the Atonement, 909 E. Main St. (Lake-Cook Road), Barrington, where there will be visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Pastor Don Wink will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, 610 S. Dundee Ave., Barrington. There will also be a visitation from 4-8 p.m., Wednesday, April, 16, at Lutheran Church of the Atonement. Born April 28, 1959, in Port Huron, MI, he passed away from leukemia, Saturday, April 12, 2014, at University of Chicago Medical Center. A graduate of Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant, Paul was a Data Center Product Specialist at Cisco Systems and a 20-year Mason and member of the Barrington Lodge. He enjoyed hunting at his cabin in Michigan and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Survivors include his wife, Julie (nee Pearson); children, Anna (fiance Rudy Supanich), Ian, and Elizabeth Schlueter; parents, Paul and Mary Ann (nee Vincent) Schlueter; sisters, Chris (Robert) Rosenbaum and Susan (Dennis) Cichowski; brother, David (Brenda) Schlueter; and 10 nieces and nephews. Sharon C. Schulz GENEVA - Sharon C. Schulz, age 54, passed away Saturday, April 19, 2014, at St. Joseph Hospital, Elgin. She was born August 18, 1959, in Fort Knox, Kentucky, the daughter of Dallas and Donna (nee Overson) Ferdina. Sharon was a vibrant person who truly knew how to find joy in everything she did. She worked for many years for Make Corporation in Oak Brook Terrace and was considered a family member. She was a recruiting manager for IT staffing. However, her greatest joy was the fun she found spending time with her family and friends. Sharon is survived by her children Jennifer Key of Salem, OR and Haley Schulz of Geneva; sisters Florence of Las Vegas and Elaine of Oregon; brothers Mike (Sheila) of Alabama and Don of Portland; Haley's father Gene (Heather) Schulz of Westmont; Gene's children Erin and Tamera Schulz; Gene's granddaughter Alexa Beavers; and dear friends Steve and Karen Wilson of Wheaton. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, brother Tom Ferdina and step mother JoAnne Ferdina. GENEVA - Grace M. Sennello, age 92, of Geneva, passed away Friday, April 18, 2014 at Brighton Gardens in St. Charles, surrounded by family. She was born April 1, 1922, in LaPlata, Argentina, the daughter of Isaac and Clarissa (Callahan) Jordan. Grace taught third through sixth grade at St. Bedes, St. Linus, and George W. Lieb Elementary Schools for many years. She was a devoted teacher and truly enjoyed being with the children. During the mid 70's she left teaching to move to Belgium when her husband's company transferred him to Europe. They lived in Belgium for nine years before returning to the States and settling in Lake Bluff, Illinois. She traveled extensively throughout the US, Europe, and South America. However, her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all those whose lives she touched. Grace is survived by her children Rhoda Pacuicrk of Geneva, Jane (Alan) Gazdziak of Geneva and Douglas (Grace) of Algonquin; daughter-in-law, Regina (Rigoni) Sennello; 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; sister Lydia Jean Juhlin of Oregon; and many dear nieces, nephews and friends. Grace was preceded in death by her loving husband Joseph who passed away in 1995, son Joseph J. Sennello, parents, sister Leona Jane Whipple, and brother John Jordan. The funeral service for Lillian E. Serviss, 90, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 200 S. Wille St., Mount Prospect, where she will lie in state from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be in Ridgewood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, at Friedrichs Funeral Home, 320 W. Central Road (at Northwest Highway), Mount Prospect. Born July 20, 1923, in Pearson, Wisconsin she died peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family on Monday, April 14, 2014. Lill was a dedicated Green Bay Packers and Cubs fan. She enjoyed caring for flowers in her yard and was looking forward to Spring. Lill loved baking for her family and was famous for her chocolate eclairs. She was a devoted spouse and homemaker, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She often held jobs outside the home but was in her element as a volunteer for many worthy causes such as the Luther High School North Thrift store and the publication of the Marksman newsletter at St. Mark Church. Lillian (nee Hartman) was preceded in death by her parents, her 7 siblings and her beloved husband Joseph. Lillian was the dear mother of Sandra (Michael) Halla, William (Linda) Serviss, Gerald (Karen Chrusciel) Serviss and Scott (Suzanne) Serviss; cherished grandmother of Darren (Jennifer), Ryan (Kelsi), Jeffrey (Martha), Timothy (Barbara), Kelli (Josef), Angela, Matthew, Nathan, Dakota, Brittany and Alanna; and loving great-grandmother of Logan, Lauren, Travis, Brett, Kristen, Chloe, Charissa, Samantha, Nicole, Isabelle and Michael. Craig Stephen Shaw, 41, left us on April 10, 2014 with his family by his side at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital. Craig was born on May 4, 1972, in Oak Park Illinois to Constance Sadowski and Virgil Shaw. Craig graduated from McHenry High School, East Campus, in 1990 and later graduated from Columbia College of Missouri in 1995 with a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing and Management. Craig was a dedicated, amazing and loving father, who will live on through his son Aidan and through his daughter Cameron. Craig was a devoted husband to Martha Shaw for eight years. Craig was a loving brother, son, uncle and friend. Craig had a kind, pure and giving heart that touched many lives. Craig is survived by his sister, Lannette Bacon; by his brother in law, Charles Bacon; by his brother, Shawn McCleavy; by his sister in law, Helen McCleavy; by his nieces and nephews, Addie, Austin, Kyle, Tim and Krystal; by his mother, Constance Sadowski; by his wife, Martha Shaw; by his son, Aidan Shaw and by his daughter, Cameron Shaw. We are proud to say that Craig was an organ donor and was able to save several lives.
