SCHMIDT, DANIEL JOHN - ST. CHARLES  
ST. CHARLES - Daniel John Schmidt, age 29, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at Delnor Hospital in Geneva. He was born February 3, 1987 in St. Charles, Illinois to John and Sherry Schmidt. He graduated with honors in 2006 from St. Charles East High School. He was a member of Jazz Band, Peer Leadership, National Honor Society. He graduated in 2010 from Columbia College in Chicago with a screen writing degree. He was a member of St. John Neumann Church in St. Charles and was active in the student ministry during his high school years. Dan was active in the Muscular Dystrophy Association and currently active in the Horizon Camp Association, a non-profit group for adults with disabilities. Over the years, Dan won many awards and was recognized for his caring and giving way with others. In 2007, he was awarded the Hometown Heroes Award as Youth Good Samaritan presented by the American Red Cross. He currently had his own business, a podcast called Cross the Airwaves.com , where he worked with able-body and people with disabilities to create a way to bring people together to talk about television and movies but mostly Superheroes of all kinds. His goal in life was to spread happiness and peace to all. He loved writing and was in the process of writing a graphic novel. There are many teachers that touched Dan's life. Dan is survived by his parents, a brother, Joseph, a sister, Katie all of St. Charles, his maternal grandfather, Glen Lauderdale of Aurora, his uncle, Larry (Vicay) Lauderdale of Montgomery, his aunt, Anna (Kevin) Weselak of Lombard, his cousins, Tim, Tom, Kristin, Laura and Michael and his Goddaughter, Nola Weselak. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John and Ann Schmidt and his maternal grandmother, Edith Lauderdale. Funeral mass will be held 10:30 A.M., Monday, August 1st at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 2900 East Main Street, (Rt. 64), St. Charles. Burial will be at Cemetery in Aurora, Illinois. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-7:00 P.M. at Yurs Funeral Home, 405 E. Main St. (corner of Route 64 and Route 25), St. Charles. SCHUMAN, ALLEN A. - GILBERTS  
GILBERTS - Allen A. Schuman, age 66, passed away on Wednesday morning, in the comfort of his home surrounded by family after battling cancer. Allen was born in Watervliet, Michigan on October 6, 1949 and was the son of the late Emil and Louise (nee Frank) Schuman. On February 13, 1971 he married his best friend and love of his life Karen L. Brennan. Allen was a resident of Gilberts for the past 28 years. He was a former 44 year loyal employee of United Airlines where he served in Lead Ramp Services. Allen also served in the Air Force National Guard. He was a Lionel Train and Corvette Enthusiast. Most of all, he loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them as well as his friends. Survivors include his wife of 45 years: Karen. Their sons: Brian (Christy) and Scott Schuman and his granddaughter: Sydney. Other survivors include his mother-in-law: Phyllis Brennan and his sister-in-law: Darlene Brennan and Janis (William) Hickok as well as countless good and faithful friends. Family and Friends will gather for Graveside Funeral Services and burial on Friday, July 29, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery, 9900 Gross Point Road, Skokie. Please omit flowers. WILDEY, DAVID T. - NAPERVILLE  
NAPERVILLE - David T. Wildey, age 71, a longtime resident of Lombard, IL, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2016. He was born in DeKalb, IL on May 11, 1945. He was a highly decorated platoon Sergeant in the United States Army, and served his country during the Vietnam War. David is survived by his loving wife: Janelle (nee Carpenter) Wildey; his children: Sman Soh, Ken Kennedy, Michael (Jamie) Browning, Kurt (Catina) Browning, and Stacey (Michael) Veseling; grandchildren: Brittiney, Courtney, Rachel, Douglas, Danielle, Aidan, and David; great-grandchildren: Ajna and Arijah, many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Albert and Esther (Thorne) Wildey and his daughter; Sharron Wildey. Mary Allen, nee Petkus, 60, died on Monday, July 25, 2016, at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home in Joliet, Illinois. She was born on September 17, 1955, in Chicago, Illinois. She is survived by her daughter Jennifer (Steve) Caruso and grandchildren Kaitlin, Alyssa and Brennan Caruso along with her sister, Arlene (Bob) Ziolkowski. Preceded in death by husband Dominic (Bazoo) Allen, son Robert (Bobby) Allen, and sister Patricia Lavin. BELL, RONALD D. - CHICAGO  
Ronald D. Bell, 80, formerly of Chicago, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2016 at Lake Forest Hospital. He was born in Chicago to the late Chester and Ester (Cernak) Bell. He is survived by his children, Donna (Gabriel) Castro; Ted Bell; Cynthia (Charles) Goethel; and Rhonda Bell; eleven grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife and the mother of his children, Suzanne; his second wife Barbara; and his beloved son Ronald II; three of his grandchildren, Donna; Steven; and Gabriel; and a brother Bobby and his wife Elvie. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all. Forever in Our Hearts. DUNN, JEANETTE F. "JEAN" - CARPENTERSVILLE  
CARPENTERSVILLE - Jeanette F. "Jean" Dunn, age 83, passed away on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at Rosewood Care Center of Elgin surrounded by family. Jean was born on June 14, 1933 in Chicago, IL. And was the daughter of the late Charles R. and Irene M. (nee Ridge) Fry. On November 22, 1958 she married Lee O. Dunn. Lee preceded Jean in death on December 13, 2007 after celebrating 49 years of marriage. Jean was a resident of the Carpentersville area for over 60 years and a former many year employee of the Dundee Animal Hospital. After leaving the animal hospital, Jean was a greeter for many years at Walmart in East Dundee. She was a faithful and active member of St. James Episcopal Church in West Dundee. Jean was a member of the Order of the Eastern Nunda Chapter #293 of Crystal Lake, and a former many year member of Order of the Eastern Star Dundee Day Star Chapter #151. For many years Jean and Lee opened their home and hearts to many foster children. Jean is survived by her daughters: Theresa "Terri" (Robert) Swan and Sheila (Tom) Smith. Jean is also survived by her grandson: Kenneth Swan and granddaughter; Alma Smith. Other survivors include her sister: Genevieve (George) Stewart, her brothers: Charles R. (Lucille) Fry and Thomas A. (Joanne) Fry, as well as many nieces, nephews including her godson: George "Rusty" Stewart as well as many friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Jean was preceded in death by her son: Bruce and a grandson: William. At Jean's request she was cremated. Memorial Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 30,2016 at 11:00 A.M. at St. James Episcopal Church, West Dundee with Rev. Donald Frye, Rector officiating. Private family inurnment will be at Dundee Twp. East Cemetery, East Dundee. A Memorial Visitation will be on Friday July 29, 2016 from 5-8 P.M. at Miller Funeral Home, 504 W. Main St., West Dundee.
