ANDERSEN, LARRRY L. - ELGIN -  
ELGIN - Larrry L. Andersen, 93, lifelong resident of Elgin passed away on February 22, 2015 at Advocate Sherman Hospital. He was born August 10, 1921 in Elgin the son of Louis F. and Maizie Andersen. Larrry served his country in the Navy during WWII. He was a member of the American Legion Post 57 in Elgin, member of the Elgin Golden K's, South Elgin Lions Club and First Congregational Food Panty and former volunteer fireman in South Elgin and member of South Elgin Community United Methodist Church and an avid bowler and golfer. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Eloyse Andersen, his children, Susan (Don) Fichtel, Lauren (David) Rohlwing and Daniel Andersen, his grandchildren, Pete, Scott, Amy, Brett, Nicole and Christopher, 11 Great Grandchildren and his sister, Rita Major. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February, 26, 2015 at Wait Ross Allanson Funeral and Cremation Services, 51 Center St., Elgin,Il from 1:00 P.M. until the time of funeral services at 4:30 P.M. ANDERSON, JERRY - Fox Lake  
Jerry Anderson a long time resident of Fox Lake, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2015. He was born May 23, 1936 in Chicago to Carl and Georgianna (nee Beauchamp) Anderson. Jerry was an avid sailor, hot-rod enthusiast, artist and a builder. He also loved to travel, ride his motorcycle and spend time with his family and friends. Most of all, Jerry was a loving partner, husband, father, grandpa and friend. Jerry will be deeply missed by his partner, Lori Mikulski; daughters, Candace and Christine Anderson; grandchildren, Steven and Patricia Anderson; and by his former wife, Madelyn Anderson. Many loving friends and relatives also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial visitation will be Saturday, February 28, from 12 Noon until the celebration of Jerry's life at 3:30 PM at K.K. Hamsher Funeral Home, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake, IL, 60020. ST. CHARLES - Paul Eric Anderson, 66, passed away February 20, 2015 at his home. Paul owned Anderson Graphics and Postal Mailing Service in Carol Stream, IL. He is a past president of the Wheaton Jaycees. Outside of work he loved photography, model A cars, and growing orchids. He is survived by his loving wife, MaryEllen (Auer); Mother, Dolores Anderson; daughter Cathy McCall (Webb); son-in-law, Anthony McCall; daughter-in-law, Jami Plucinski; and granddaughter, Ashlee Webb. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert G. Anderson; sister, Priscilla M. Anderson; and son, Michael Webb. ELGIN - Jackie Elaine Barnett, 80, formerly of Elgin, passed away Thursday February 19, 2015 in her home surrounded by her husband Frank and daughter Deborah and her husband John. She was born December 3, 1934 in Chicago the daughter of Theodore and Mary Sue Ellis. She Married Frank D. Barnett on June 7, 1952 in Carterville, IL. Jackie worked for Motorola for 15 years as an Office Manager. Survivors include her Husband Frank. Daughter Judy Baxter of Davis Junction, Deborah (John) Feehan of Machesney Park and Lynne (Larry) Keller of Huntley. Grandchildren, Doug (Kristie) Baxter, Kerrie (Rick) Frick, James Ham and Jake Keller. Great-grandchildren, Drew Baxter, Lance Baxter and Breanna Frick. Sister, Joan (Robert) Meadows of Aurora. Predeceased by her parents. Sisters, Ruby Sikorski and Mary Speciale. Memorial Services at 7pm Wednesday February 25, 2015 in Fitzgerald Funeral Home, 1860 South Mulford Road, Rockford, IL 61108. Marilyn J. Bartal, 80, died Monday, Jan. 26, 2015, at her home in Williams Bay, WI. Marilyn was born April 16, 1934, in Normal Township, IL, to parents Kenneth and Ada (Zook) Wright. She was united in marriage to Richard Bartal April 28, 1962, at Bloomington, IL. For years, Marilyn was the secretary to two of the executive vice presidents of State Farm. For a while, she operated her own lighting business, and more recently she was the "office manager" for her husband and his business. Marilyn is survived by her husband, Dick; sons, Craig and Christy of Bellwood, IL, and Rob and his wife, Susan, of Williams Bay, WI; two grandchildren, Bridget and Graham Bartal; sisters, Betty and husband, Arnold Hering, and Kay and her husband, Dave Franz, all of Bloomington, IL; her sister-in-law, Marlene Bartal of Normal, IL; her mother-in-law. Anna Bartal of Merrillville, IN; brothers-in-law, Jim Bartal of Irvine, CA, and Frank Bartal of Bradenton, FL. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Kenneth Duane; and her father-in-law, Frank Bartal. Services were held Feb. 8, with Toynton Funeral Home, Walworth, WI.

BELL, PETER LINDSAY - EVANSTON -  
EVANSTON - Peter Lindsay Bell, age 58, of Evanston, Illinois, passed from this life on Tuesday, February 24, 2015, in Elgin, in his sleep. He was born December 9, 1956, to the parents of Robert and Joan Bell. Born and raised in Elgin, Peter developed many childhood friendships that endured for his entire life. He was an alum of McKinley Elementary, Larson Junior High, Elgin High School, Columbia College and the University of Missouri. Throughout his life, Peter was a vibrant soul who had an unending passion for living. A devoted man, his loyalty to friends and family was second to none. Even during life's most difficult moments, Peter reminded us to stand up for ourselves, be counted, and have faith. He served as a positive beacon of courage, and as one who illuminated what could be possible in our lives. Peter was a strong believer that knowledge is power, and he was a fountain of original concepts and ideas. After graduating from college, he became a corporate auditor. Soon after, Peter would self-start a career on what would be a very rewarding and creative path involving many different forms of media, including music, video, film, and event production. In the early 1980s, he served as Executive Producer and Founder of Chicago Choice Picks, a platform he conceived to link musicians with recording studios. Peter's multivenue event helped to launch the idea for what is now known as SXSW (South by Southwest), a national music festival founded by his long-time friend, Louis Meyer. Throughout his life, Peter managed and contributed to the careers of many artists. In 2000, he launched his own production company, Clear Pictures, in Evanston, Illinois. He produced a wide range of events for many firms, from Fortune 500 companies to small tech start-ups. Peter's keen intelligence and love of sharing invigorated all who knew him. The insatiably curious nature he had gave rise to unique discoveries in his life, which he would then share with the rest of us, leading us to keenly appreciate the world around us. He was an independent soul who loved, and believed in, the power of community. His passions for nature, sailing, art, music, animals, reading, good food, and golf, were all reflections of his spirit. Peter Bell was a loving soul who was a compatriot to all he crossed paths with. Unexpectedly, Peter passed from our presence, but he will forever remain in all of our hearts and souls. Bless you Peter, our brother and son, for we love you too. No words can measure the grief we feel with your passing, and we will miss you until we meet again. Your spirit will continue to warm us, giving us true peace in our times of suffering. Peter is survived by his father, Robert; his three brothers, Scott, David, and John; the love of his life, Mary Lou Mydill, and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. GILBERTS - Linda M. "Pete" Brewer, age 72, passed unexpectedly on Wednesday afternoon, February 25, 2015 afternoon at her home. Linda was born in Barrington on January 13, 1943, and was the daughter of the late Harold and Lucinda "Cyn" (nee Gritmacker) Rieke. Linda was an avid and faithful Chicago Bears fan and watched them play every Sunday. She loved to watch and feed the birds and tend to her cats. Survivors include her husband of 31 years: Jim. Her daughter: Robin, her step-daughter: Kerri (Eric), her grandchildren: Blake (fiancee, Amanda), Melanie and Kaylynn. Other survivors include her brother: Tom (Betsy) Rieke, her nieces: Jenna (Chad) and Heather. At Linda's request she will be cremated. The Brewer-Rieke families will be mourning their loss privately. Doug graduated from Dundee Crown High School in 1981. He was employed at the Elgin Mental Health Center since 1992. Survivors include his wife: Diana Quesada of Elgin. 4 step children: J. Alex, Joaquin, David and Vanessa. Parents: Larry (Debbie) McKenzie of Hampshire, IL and Mary (Barry) Nelson of Castle Rock, CO; his Adoptive father: Barry (Carleen) Burbury and his step father: Chuck (Paula) Ellsworth; 2 sisters: Becky (Greg) Johnson and Amy (Mark) Satkiewicz; a brother: Alex Ellsworth, along with many family and friends.
