Anthony "Tony" E. Levitski formerly of Palatine Anthony "Tony" E. Levitski, 73, of Chicago, passed away unexpectedly of heart failure at home on March 15, 2013. Tony was born Nov. 10th, 1939 in Chicago, IL and is survived by his wife, friend and love Joan K. Briggs of 26 years. Tony was the loving father of Karin Louise and Dale Levitski (Tony Dworak), amazing extraordinary and special stepfather of Dirk (Cindy) Cox, Wendy (Terry) Conroy and Terri (Jerry) Lucas; proud dedicated grandfather of Sarah (fiance Chris Podgorski) Lucas, Amy (Dave) Beltramea, Molly Beth, Ryan and Andrew Cox, Tim and Christina Conroy and special doting great grandfather to 8 month old Lucas Anthony Beltramea; dear brother of the late Lorraine Graham and uncle to Eric and Kirk Knight. Tony graduated from Roosevelt University and for the past 13 years has been employed by NTN Bearing Corp. in Mt. Prospect as a manufacturing consultant; 18 years previous to that with Halo Lighting in Elk Grove Village. A big hearted giving man, Tony always gave selflessly anytime, anyplace for anyone. A fun loving person who enjoyed a good joke and was well known by many for his incredible sense of humor. "We all have a void, our entire family for Tony now trying to replace the physical being with the wonderful memories, the twinkly eyes, the grinning smile, the sometimes naughty up to no good laugh, funny joke and a good story or two. We could go on and on but have been blessed to have had Grandpa Tony be a part of all of our lives. If you were fortunate enough to know him then you too have been blessed." In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Tony's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148 or Make-A-Wish Foundation, 640 N. LaSalle Drive, Suite 280, Chicago, IL 60654 would be greatly appreciated. A memorial visitation will be held Saturday March 30 from 1-3pm at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Highway, Palatine. A special service celebrating his life will follow at 3:00pm. His family would love to have you share a written memory or a story if you would prefer that could be read during this service. For information, 847-359-8020 or visit Tony's memorial at
