Erwin J. Page of Lake Forest Erwin J. Page, 83, passed away on Friday, Sept. 14, 2012. He was born March 21. 1929, in Chicago and was a lifetime Chicagoland resident, spending winters in Tucson, AZ. He was an 18-year employee with the Arlington Heights Public Works Department as their chief forester. Erwin had received his forestry degree from Purdue University in 1952. He had also served in the Army, being stationed in Japan from 1952 to 1954. He was a member of St. Patrick Church in Lake Forest, former member and past president of the Suburban Foresters Association, and was an avid golfer and woodworker. Surviving are his son-in-law, Jeff Steybe and grandchildren, Ann and Eric Steybe, all of Vernon Hills; and nephews, Tom, Robert, Andy and Richard Page. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marceline "Marcie" Page in 2011; his daughter, Karen Steybe; and brother, Raymond. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, at St. Patrick Church, 991 S. Waukegan Road, Lake Forest. Interment will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Alsip.
