Fred Sieroslawski of Burlington Fred Sieroslawski, 70, of Burlington, IL passed away on May 22, 2013 in Woodstock, IL , at Journey Care Hospice Home. He was born on June 10, 1942 in Harvey, IL the son of Henry and Frances Sieroslawski and was raised on a farm on Bowes Rd. in Elgin. Fred graduated from Elgin High School and served in the National Guard for 6 years. He had worked 9 years at Elgin Machine Works in Elgin. Fred retired from the Kane County Sheriff's Department, as Lieutenant Commander of Investigations, after 25 years of service. He liked to hunt and was an avid fisherman. Fred bowled in several leagues, was a member of the Sycamore Sportsman & Conservation Club; and a lifetime member of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge # 14. Survivors include his wife, Sandra (Adamson), whom he met at the Blue Moon in Elgin, and Married on May 8, 1965. 5 children: Sherri (Jack Thompson) Brewer; Teresa (Tony) Jenkins; Kari (M. Neal Collins) Sieroslawski; Todd Sieroslawski; and Troy (Linda) Sieroslawski. 6 Grandchildren: Andrew (Angie Martino) Brewer; Riley and RaeAnn Shank; Emma and Max Sieroslawski; and Parker Jenkins, along with his best buddy "Jed" his dog. A brother: Frank (Kathy) Sieroslawski and Sisters: Rosalie (Al) Kempfer, Ruth (John) Howard and Susan Williams. Funeral services will be held on Monday May 27, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. in the Laird Funeral Home, Elgin, with Fr. Joseph F. Kulak officiating. Burial will follow at St. Charles Borromeo Church Cemetery, Hampshire, IL. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
