GEORGIA V. ADJEMIAN

Georgia V. Adjemian Friends and family of Georgia Viola Adjemian (nee Robinson), of St. John, Ind., formerly of Spokane, Wash., will gather Saturday at noon for a 1 p.m. memorial service at St. Matthew Center for Health, 1601 N. Western Ave., Park Ridge, Ill. Inurnment will take place at a later date at the United States Military Academy at West Point, N.Y. She was born Jan. 27, 1922, in Muskogee, Okla., and raised in Dallas, Texas. During her life she traveled internationally and resided in France, Hawaii and throughout the mainland U.S. Her final days ended peacefully, April 1, 2010, at St. Matthew Center for Health in Park Ridge. Georgia was a loving mom, homemaker, and a wonderful chef. She devoted her time to working with mentally disabled children and the Red Cross. A World War II veteran, U.S. Army, while serving in France she met her husband, the late Col. George R. Adjemian, retired U.S. Army USMA ('41), Ph.D., former Gonzaga University professor and attorney, former resident of Claremont, Calif., and Spokane. Georgia is the beloved mother of Robert Adjemian of Hollywood, Calif., Barbara Adjemian of Seattle Wash., and Susan (Scott) Juister of St. John; grandmother of Kelly (Michael) Fitzgerald of Schaumburg and David Griffin of Des Plaines; great-grandmother of Alex and Tyler Fitzgerald; and sister of Robert (Elizabeth) Robinson of Dallas and Dorothy (Merlin) Reed of San Antonio, Texas.
