Howard Harris Rosenheim of Park Ridge Howard Harris Rosenheim passed away Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2012. He was born Oct. 1, 1915, in Huntington, W.V., son of Dr. William S. and Francis Harris. He moved to Chicago in 1933, where he attended and graduated from Northwestern University in 1936. He served in the Army Air Force during World War II, achieving the rank of major. Howard met and married the late Marjorie Griffin in 1945. A lifelong learner and educator, he left his mark on the world through his beloved Intermatic Timer. Howard is survived by his two children, Cathy Harris and Bill Rosenheim; his wife, Laura; and three grandchildren, Michelle, Michael and Alison. At his request, Howard's remains will be taken by his children and their families to Huntington, W.V. where he will rest with Marjorie and the rest of his family. A memorial service will be held on March 10, at the First United Methodist Church of Park Ridge at 7 p.m. " 'I am ready to meet my maker, but whether my maker is prepared for the great ordeal of meeting me is another matter.' -Winston Churchill...and that, was my Father."
