Jack W. Tookey Jack W. Tookey, age 84, passed away Sunday, August 11, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born May 4, 1929, in Chicago, and had lived in Des Plaines for the past 55 years. Jack was employed at Sargent & Lundy for 43 years, prior to retiring in 1990. He was an avid Chicago sports fan, and faithfully watched every game he could, cheering for his home team. He loved classic cars, and spent many happy years collecting and restoring them. Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Gay Tookey (nee Worcester) in 2010. He is survived by his 6 children, Jack (Jacqueline) Tookey of Albemarle, NC; Geof Worcester of San Francisco, Ca; Jill (Mike) Arnold of Des Plaines, Andy Tookey of Des Plaines, Jean Tookey of Des Plaines and Amy Tookey of Des Plaines, and grandchildren, Jack, Jenessa, David, Ashlyn, Veronica, Matthew, Philip and Jesse. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the or Rainbow Hospice (RainbowHospice.org).
