James C. "Jim" Adams Memorial visitation for James C. "Jim" Adams, 82, of the Chicagoland area and Sarasota, Fla., will be from 1 p.m. until the time of a memorial service at 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 95 S. Gilbert St. (at Middle St.), South Elgin. Cremation was private at the Countryside Crematory. Jim was born in Lewisburg, Tenn., Aug. 10, 1927, the son of the late Jesse and Ellen (nee Vaughn). He spent his entire career working in the moving industry, specifically All Chicagoland Movers and United Van Lines. He was active in the Kiwanis and was a proud Marine veteran. Survivors include his children, James M. (Gloria), Carol (John) Bieda, Jerome M. (Claudia) and Richard A.; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
