Jean Marie Sieracki-Cassidy Jean Marie Sieracki-Cassidy, 49, was the beloved wife of Bob Cassidy; devoted mother of Madeline and Ben; loving daughter of Edward and Ursula Sieracki (nee Napieralski); loving sister of Carole, Ann (Jeff) Sittig and Edward; dear aunt to Katherine, Margret and Will; and cousin and friend to many. Services will be Monday, Jan. 7, at St. Isaac Jogues, 306 W. Fourth St., Hinsdale, IL. Visitation will be at 9 a.m., the Mass will be at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, you may send contributions in memory of Jean Marie Cassidy to The Lane School PTO, 500 N. Elm St., Hinsdale, IL 60521. Jean Marie Sieracki was born Aug. 7, 1963, at Little Company of Mary Hospital, Evergreen Park. Her childhood was spent in Lombard and Elgin. She graduated in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science in Education at ISU, Normal. She obtained her Master of Science in Education in 1990 from National Louis University in Evanston. Jean embraced the philosophy of their program that all things are connected from the beginning of existence. She obtained the IMSA Impact Mini Grant from the Illinois Math and Science Alliance that spurs innovation through technology. She received an award for her "FUN with Garbage" project involving recycling activities that teach math and science concepts. She taught grades 2 to 6 at Madison School in Clarendon Hills and The Lane in Hinsdale from 1985 to 2012, taking time for maternity leave. She engaged her students, colleagues and parents with deep intention. She married the love of her life on June 26, 2009, at St. Isaac Jogues. Her passions included her bible study group, watercolor painting, creative writing, holistic health, effective parenting, and love of nature, especially flowers.
