Josephine J. Meagher of Geneva Josephine J. Meagher, 90, a former longtime resident of Oak Park, passed away Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born June 26, 1922, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Pierce Joseph and Ellen (nee Weightman) Meagher. Josephine graduated from Oak Park River Forest High School and then attended Rosary College. where she received her Master in Library Sciences. Josephine served as a librarian at the University of Notre Dame. She then worked at Willowbrook High School, where she stayed until retiring. Josephine enjoyed gardening, baking and shopping and loved to travel. She also found great joy in being with friends and valued time spent with her family. She is survived by her sisters, Mary Katherine Moran of Batavia and Anne F. Meagher of Geneva; and many nieces and nephews. Josephine will be dearly missed by all those whose lives she touched. She was preceded in death by her parents. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, Jan. 18, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church, 1891 Kaneville Road, Geneva, with Father Michael Chernetzki, Celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Gilberts. Visitation will be held Friday, Jan. 18, from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Malone Funeral Home, 324 E.
