Patricia Ellen Allen

Patricia Ellen Allen Memorial services for Patricia Ellen Allen (nee McCarthy), a resident of Glen Ellyn Countryside, will be held at 1 p.m. today, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1201 Grove St., Addison. Pat was born April 22, 1954. She died Wednesday, June 30, 2004, at her home at the age of 50. She married William S. Allen on May 6, 1988. Pat worked at Septran for 14 years, never missing a day of work until struck by her tragic illness. The most significant event in Pat's life occurred when, after studying the Bible, she became one of Jehovah's Witnesses and dedicated her life to serving God on Feb. 18, 1989. Pat was active in sharing her beliefs with others and spent many hours in volunteer Bible education work in her community. She remained active in that work until the time of her death. She is survived by her beloved husband of 16 years, William S. Allen. She is also survived by her children, Elizabeth (Jon) Logan, Henriett (Joseph) Kodak, Kristy (Pete) Reyes, Michael A. Kodak and four grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Kevin H. McCarthy; her sisters, Maureen Sherman, Collene Mica, Colleen McCarthy-Zeigler and Kerry McCarthy. She is also survived by her stepfather, Richard Mollenkamp. Pat was preceded in death by her brother, Michael "Mac" McCarthy; her father, Michael H. McCarthy; her beloved son, Raymond M.
