Prakash M. Amin Prakash M. Amin, 63, passed away Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010. He was born May 28, 1947, in Sinor, India, to Manubhai Amin and Vidyaben Amin. He married Nalini Amin on Jan. 22, 1979, in Baroda, India. Prakash Amin was a pulmonary physician practicing at St. Alexis in Hoffman Estates, Alexian Brothers in Elk Grove Village and Resurrection Hospital in Chicago. He attended M. S. University in Baroda, India. He was also Resident of the Year at Resurrection Hospital in 1976. Prakash Amin was a beloved husband, father, and uncle. His life was dedicated to the service of others, including his children, nieces and nephews, his friends, his temple, and thousands of patients. He was an exceptionally kind and generous man. He immigrated to the United States in 1974, and practiced pulmonary medicine here for over 30 years. He has transformed countless lives and his memory and legacy will continue to do so. He is survived by his wife Nalini Amin, 61; daughters, Shreena Amin, 28, and Cheshna Amin, 26; and son, Nirag Amin, 23. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until the time of service at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 7, at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave. (Route 176), Crystal Lake.
