QUIN MCLOUGHLIN

PALATINE - Quin McLoughlin, 91, long-time resident of Palatine, died of pneumonia on February 27, 2014, in Clarkston, Michigan following a long illness. Mr. McLoughlin was the second son of William Gerald and Florence Quinn McLoughlin of Maplewood, New Jersey. He served as a cryptographer in the Army during World War II. He married Rebecca Alice Held of Morristown, Indiana, in 1951. He attended Columbia University and the University of Michigan, earning a doctorate in psychology. He was a professor of psychology at Roosevelt University in Chicago until his retirement. He is survived by his daughter, Cynthia McLoughlin, of Waterford, Michigan, his son, Bruce McLoughlin, of Saratoga, California, and his brother, Frank McLoughlin, of Hockessin, Delaware.
