RANDALL KURT WILKE

Randall Kurt Wilke of St. Charles Randall Kurt Wilke, 61, entered heaven's gate after a six-month struggle with cancer. He was surrounded by family and special loved ones. Randy was born Sept. 14, 1951, in Chicago, IL. He graduated from St. Charles High School in 1969. He worked in various states managing a chain of pet stores, before returning to his hometown of St. Charles, where he resided for the past 15 years. Randy was involved in many local organizations. He was an actor, a director and a singer. He volunteered at Lazarus House. He loved to garden. His yard was colorful with flowers and vegetables. He was an artist and created amazing drawings using just a ball point pen. He spent time writing wonderful stories, poems and thoughts. He loved music. He played piano, guitar, and he loved to sing. He is survived by his siblings, Jane Kay (Steve) Arbizzani, Bert (Lynn) Wilke, Richard Wilke and Laren (Tom) Heyse; nieces and nephew; his special extended family of Doris Hunt; and his beloved dog, Tiara. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Beatrice Wilke. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9, at Yurs Funeral Home, 405 E. Main St. (corner of Route 64 and Route 25), St. Charles, IL 60174. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Lazarus House, or to The St. Charles Singers.
