Robert C. "Bob" Haeger of Carol Stream Robert C. "Bob" Haeger, 88, a resident of Windsor Park Manor in Carol Stream, IL, died Friday, Nov. 16, at Windsor's Johnson Health Care Center. He was born Dec. 26, 1923, in Aurora, IL. Bob served in the Army during World War II in Europe. After the war, he graduated from the University of Illinois. Not long afterwards Bob entered the Insurance industry and grew a local business in the Wheaton area that became Langan, Haeger, Vincent and Born. He retired in 1986. Bob was an avid golfer and loved to travel with his wife. He was a long time member of the First Presbyterian Church of Wheaton. He is survived by his wife of more than 65 years, Natalie "Twinks" Haeger; his three sons, Robert (Kate) Haeger of Wheaton, IL, Steve (Laife) Haeger of Bay St. Louis, MS and Brad (Jan) Haeger of Mill Creek, WA; and four grandchildren, Matt (Rachel) and Dan, Jeff and Mike. He was preceded in death by his brother, David Haeger; and his sister, Helen Angell. A visitation will be held Sunday, Nov. 18, from 3 to 6 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton, IL. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, Nov. 29, at 10 a.m. at Windsor Park Manor. Interment will be private at Wheaton Cemetery in Wheaton, IL.
